Yes. Your stay can be tailored to include as much or as little activity as you like.
Activities can be added during your stay, subject to availability and with prior notice. Alternatively, you are welcome to let us know your plans when booking so we can keep availability in mind.
For example, you might book a seven-night relaxation stay and add a few days of riding during your visit.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the lodge or in the guest accommodations.
This policy is in place due to the presence of our ranch dogs, to avoid potential conflicts, and to ensure the comfort of guests with allergies.
All room bookings include our all-inclusive package, which covers all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and the use of lodge facilities.

Yes, to a certain extent.
We are happy to accommodate vegetarian and pescatarian diets, as well as lactose intolerance and gluten sensitivity, provided we are informed at the time of booking.
However, due to the size of our kitchen and the nature of our operations, we are unfortunately not able to cater fully vegan diets or medically strict diets such as celiac disease.
If you are unsure whether we can accommodate your dietary needs, please feel free to contact us in advance and we’ll be happy to discuss what is possible.
Yes. We provide daily light housekeeping in all rooms and cabins.
This includes making the beds, emptying trash, and light cleaning as needed. Full deep cleans are carried out between guest stays.
We do not offer riding lessons in a traditional sense.
All guests receive a basic introduction before their first ride. For complete beginners, we can, if needed, replace the first ride with a dedicated introduction day to help them become comfortable with the horse and the basics of riding.
Some of our horses are particularly calm and well-suited for beginners, while others are more experienced and spirited and are matched accordingly.
Guests are encouraged to be actively involved in the care and handling of the horses.
Together with our wranglers, guests help bring the horses in, groom them, and prepare them for the ride. Depending on individual experience, guests may take on more or less of these tasks, always with guidance and support.
Being part of the full preparation process is simply part of riding horses and understanding what goes on behind the scenes.
We group our trail rides according to riders’ experience and confidence.
We have a variety of trails suited to different skill levels. For experienced riders, this can include opportunities to trot or canter where terrain and conditions allow. Beginner riders enjoy a more relaxed pace with plenty of guidance along the way.
For all new guests, the first ride is generally kept a bit slower, giving everyone time to settle in and allowing us to see what feels comfortable and appropriate. After that, we adjust accordingly.
Either way, beautiful scenery and a memorable ride are always part of the experience.
For the safety of both guests and horses, the maximum rider weight is 95 kg / 210 lbs.
Children are generally welcome to ride from around 8 years of age, provided they are comfortable around horses and able to follow instructions independently. Ultimately, suitability depends on the individual child’s confidence, size, and experience.
If you are unsure whether riding is appropriate for your child, please feel free to contact us in advance.
We do have a limited number of riding helmets available at the lodge, though sizes and styles are limited.
Guests are very welcome to bring their own helmet, as most people feel most comfortable using their own, familiar gear.
Wearing a helmet is recommended for all riders and mandatory for children and youth under 18.
Evenings at the lodge are about relaxing and enjoying the quiet of our remote setting.
Inside, guests can enjoy billiards, darts, board games, books, as well as table tennis and foosball in the games room. TVs with Netflix are available in the lodge and in some accommodations.
Outside, the deck overlooking the creek is a favorite spot—especially in summer, when hummingbirds can often be seen. The hot tub, beautiful sunsets, and clear-night stargazing round out a relaxed evening, with the occasional campfire or line dance night, depending on weather and mood.
For riding, sturdy footwear is required—ideally boots with a small heel. Long pants are expected for all trail rides, for comfort and safety.
Please bring slippers or indoor shoes if you prefer not to walk around in socks, as the lodge is a shoe-free area.
A swimsuit is recommended if you’d like to enjoy the hot tub or take a dip in the creek or nearby lake.
As we are in Canada and temperatures can drop, especially in the evenings, we recommend bringing warm clothing and layers.
Summer is often warm to hot and sunny, with temperatures reaching 30 °C or more, and September can still feel like summer. At the same time, cooler days are always possible, and even June may occasionally bring surprises.
Winters can be very cold, with temperatures occasionally dropping to -30 °C to -40 °C.
The region is generally dry, though periods of rain do occur, and weather can be changeable and a bit unpredictable.
Life at the lodge continues regardless of the weather, and many guests enjoy embracing the experience just as it comes.
Trail rides and daily activities often still take place, but participation is always up to you. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere or take advantage of one of the many other activities available at the lodge.
Our suggestion: lean back, enjoy good company, and take things as they come — Ranch style.
