Wranglers (Volunteering Positions)
This role is offered as a volunteering position and includes accommodation and meals. It is best suited for people who already have extensive riding experience, enjoy working with horses, and are comfortable taking responsibility in a remote environment.
A Remote First Aid Certificate is required, and a minimum stay of two months is expected.
Typical tasks include guiding trail rides, daily horse care, saddling and grooming, and supporting general lodge routines connected to guest activities as well as support in cleaning tasks. This role requires confidence around horses, reliability, and the ability to work independently while being part of a small team.
Application Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years old, available for a minimum stay of two months between May and September, have good everyday English (German is an advantage), and submit a resume, references, and a video (max. 3 minutes) showing riding at all three gaits and basic horse handling.
Cook / Kitchen Manager (Paid Position)
We usually employ one full-time, paid cook per season.
This role combines cooking, kitchen organization, and maintaining a clean and well-functioning kitchen environment. It requires strong self-organization and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities include preparing meals for guests and staff, menu planning, managing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and order in all kitchen areas.
Technical & Maintenance Support
We are occasionally looking for people who can support us with technical, maintenance, or hands-on practical work around the lodge.
This can include a wide range of tasks such as general maintenance, small repairs, technical systems, or seasonal projects. People with practical skills, technical understanding, or a strong hands-on mindset are encouraged to reach out so we can discuss whether there are suitable projects at the time. Longer-term or recurring support may be possible depending on skills and current needs.
