No and yes. Our relaxation and trail riding packages are available year round and can be tailored to ﬁt your preferred dates. Our cowboy/cattle drives are organized with our amazing neighbors so if this is on your wish list we will guide your dates to coordinate with what is available. Our high mountain camps and special weeks/weekends are set arrival and departure dates but you always have the option to extend your stay around them.
Yes, we can tailor your stay to do as much or as little as you wish. Once you are here so long as you give us notice and we have availability. Or give us a heads up this is your plan when you book and we can keep in mind to make sure we have availability while you are here i.e. book 7 days relaxation package with the option of 3 days riding.
Williams Lake is our closest city and where we get most of our supplies.
We are approximately just under a 2 hour drive from Williams Lake.

Yes, all our rooms and cabins receive daily housekeeping.
Absolutely, our experienced wranglers will take you into the arena to introduce you to your horse before you go out on your trail ride. Don’t worry, many of our guests come to us as absolute beginners. We also offer the chance to arrange horsemanship lessons at the lodge to build your conﬁdence and skills.
We like to encourage our guests to participate as much as possible with the handling of our horses. We will take the time to help you as much or as little as you need.
For beginner riders we keep out rides at a more relaxed walking pace taking time to help along the way. For experienced riders we can occasionally trot and canter where terrain allows and cover some more adventurous terrain. Either way, you’re guaranteed beautiful vistas and a memorable experience.
Our well-equipped games room, shelves full of books and a TV lounge with lots of western movies are available at all times. For those who enjoy their evenings outside, the deck has a beautiful creek view and games like bocce ball, horseshoes and archery, or try your hand with the lariats to rope our wooden cow. We also have a fully stocked campﬁre pit where many guests mingle, chat or enjoy a sing song. And don’t forget the stargazing on a clear night.
There is NO cellphone coverage once you leave Williams Lake. Once you arrive in the lodge we do have good WIFI internet available in the main lodge for no extra charge.
You will need boots with heels for the trail rides. We do have a small supply of cowboy boots at the lodge. We recommend comfortable jeans or long pants for horseback riding and the rest is your preference. And we recommend sweaters/layers for the evening or cooler weather.
In this part of British Columbia the snow sticks around until late March/beginning of April and May can be up and down. Be prepared for possible showers and/or chilly evenings. Typically it's sunny throughout the main summer months (June, July and August until September) reaching temperatures up to 30°C. Our trail rides will be customized for the different weather to make sure you stay comfortable and get the most out of your guest ranch vacation.
